Hot-rolled coils, whose surfaces have been descaled with acid, are rolled to the target thickness using reversible or tandem mills (4-5-high mills) to achieve a thinner gauge. However, the sheet in this state is brittle and hard. (CRF-CCRF “fullhard”) To make the sheet formable, it is annealed by heating to a specific temperature and then cooling in continuous annealing or batch annealing facilities. Low-temperature tempering is performed to improve the mechanical and surface properties of the annealed sheet. The necessary tests are performed on the sample to verify compliance with the required specifications. The tempered sheet is shipped to the customer in coil form or by slitting and cutting to length.

General Applications

Deep-drawable grades suitable for cold forming are used in the production of durable household appliances, visible and non-visible parts in the automotive industry, white goods manufacturing, home and office furniture production, heating, cooling, and ventilation equipment manufacturing, and similar applications.

Extra-deep-drawable sheets are used in the manufacture of any part requiring deep drawing. In addition to their weldability, they allow for easy chemical coating on the surface.

High-strength, low-alloy steel produced using a micro-alloying process, which retains its weldability while offering excellent formability and high strength, is particularly suitable for the production of automotive parts.
